I've got the 30GB Zen and was considering whether the Zune is an
upgrade to get to their music service. I stopped using Rhapsody (when
forced from Urge) because it was awful. Now I don't have a good
service to use at the moment. I've re-ripped my CDs that matter in
256kps MP3s so as to leave my choice of players and platforms open. I
also converted my WMAs where needed to MP3s. Anyhow, I hear the
Creative Zen has the best SNR and audio quality but I'm not sure where
the new version of the Zune ranks. How about in comparison to the
iPODs? Seems the iPOD Touch is flashy but lacks storage space and the
old iPODs sound quality is not supposed to be as good as what I
already have. What would you do in my shoes? Wait and hold onto the
Zen (and try to find DRM-free music), jump to the Zune, or go with the
tried and true Apple platform?
