In some areas of the world (where wind-surfing is popular)
you see many cars with some long, narrow "streamlined" pods
on car-top carriers which they use for their board, mast, sail,
etc. I've thought it would be great for things like tripods, light
stands, rolls of scrim or cyc, etc.
