That is your read, and I respect that.

Mine is that I see no way that BD can win in the short term, say within
a year. The pricing is way too high to become the next big thing, imo.
There has to be at least one BD player that is at or near the impulse
buy price. Today that just isn't there, and not even close to it.

I've seen it said that all the studios should be putting their movies
out on both formats. Well, that would be the kiss of death for BD and
is why you won't see that happen.

Currently I buy more BD movies but that is because of the BOGO sales
that keep popping up. But the list that shows up is all too often the
same list that has been coming up. Gonna need a new list if the BOGO
keeps working. And I think that BOGO is critical to BD this buying
season as I expect there to be more $100 HDDVD player sales before the
dust settles.
