As with most things, bitchers post more! <G>
The boiling discs was a BS issue to begin with and was reported by so
few it is laughable and was all over and done with quite awhile ago. It
only applied to some rental discs from even the most ardent bitchers.
Of course, this shows that the BD guys never stretch the truth when
talking about HDDVD, right? :-)
There were 3 firmware upgrades out before I ever got 1 of them and nary
a burp from any HDDVD disc. New ones, old ones, combos, you name it,
all worked well.
BD OTOH, had to have the FW to make some of the new movies even load.
And the idiot Liars Dice game never did work well on anything other than
a PS3.
My PS3 should be here sometime today and I can retire that S300 to
somewhere else. I should mark it as one of the many Beta level machines
from Sony and others. Of course, that pretty much describes the entire
BD industry.
