It's a Sony G170S, less than three months old.
Sony AW-G170S 18X Double Layer (8.5GB) DVD+-RW Dual Drive, SATA drive. I
suppose there might be a firmware updates, but I have to admit, I've never
thought about checking.

Oh, geeze.....looks like there maybe an update...
