That settles it! In 1982 (or thereabouts) Starburst magazine (probably)
did a big article on Blade Runner going into the origins, the compromises
and ........the voice over. They slagged it off saying it was for mindless
American audiences who didn't get the plot and it seems people have been
repeating that parrot-fashion without engaging their own brains, ever
since.
Who's up for a "Voice Over Version Rules" T-shirt? :)
