Well, I guess a high threading count would indicate use as a deck like
my sh!thead former partner insisted on doing.

By the way, another interesting point in this regard:
After I started to have drop-outs on the aforementioned camera, I had
the head replaced. When I got it back the hour numbers were changed
significantly. Some up and some down. I called the repair place and
the guy said that the hour meter can bounce around on its own.
