Anyone here familiar with dvd recorder faults ?.

I have an LG DR 7800 dvd recorder that I got from Richer Sounds in
Aug 2006 .Just before the 1 year warranty ran out it had been
exhibiting the odd glitch like failing to recognise discs,even
commercial ones or wanting to initialise discs other than blank ones
..I meant to return it to RS while the warranty was still in force
but,well you know how it is ....

Today it wouldnt recognise Tom Brown's Schooldays ,an orginal
commercial dvd and it also takes longer then I think it should to
"accept" a disc when you put them in .
I've contacted Rs to see what they say but could it be something
simple .
