Several albums per disc.

Why have a huge shelf full of single albums, etc. when a single disc
holds several?

I, for one, am certainly glad we are not all still on 12" diameter 3mm
thick Laser Disc era standard media. My small library is quite heavy,
and all my DVD titles on 12" media in one place would be as dangerous as
a king sized water bed on the second floor of an old rickety apartment
building!

Size matters. The "24 hour help desk" group does not.
