Just to update this. I finally got a batch of discs on Thursday
afternoon, but they were only the ones that had been sent out on
Tuesday. The discs from Friday and Monday (12 discs from two different
accounts!) are still missing, and now I'm assuming it's a USPS problem.
I've had a lot of weird problems with the USPS, and I've been
skeptical about whether many claims of throttling haven't been at least
partially attributable to them, rather than Netflix. In the past, I've
had my post office (in Manhattan--I have a P.O. Box there, as I
mentioned) suddenly turn up whole bundles of mail six months after it
was postmarked--six months! My mother has sent stuff to me--two
envelopes together, with one showing up about three weeks later (from
Florida) and the other gone for good. It seems like I just didn't get
any of my mail for three days or so, and who knows where the heck it
might be now; probably in Siberia. Heck, the Netflix mail just had to
go across town, and the USPS doesn't even seem to be able to get that
right.
