That's precisely the reason we still have yet to see a Special Edition.
Apparently the rights to the theatrical cut of the movie belong to some
asshole who runs the Univision Spanish language network and for reasons
unknown, he refuses to sell the rights back to Warner Bros. Hopefully
this news means he's finally given in.
