No, just like they didn't stop producing VHS for quite some time after
the advent of SD DVDs. That didn't make SD DVDs any less viable.

My point was that if you're waiting for a permanent format, you'll be
waiting forever. Enjoy the current technology and then move on when
something better comes along. It's not like we're talking about
mortgage prices.
