A lot of the answers are typical because the posts are essentially
identical to many posted over the course of 2 years in two critical
respects - none specify details as to WinMX settings, port settings,
composition of share folder, use of add-on software, ISP or even the
type of internet connection (That last detail requires no WinMX
expertise and apparently it's the sort of detail that's hard not to
talk about whether your on dial-up with its interminable speeds or
broadband with its higher costs) - details which are key to determining
just what your DL problem is; the posts make it blatantly obvious that
these users do not read the NG, making it likely that you probably
won't even be back for the answer, were somebody to post it.
And I didn't refuse to help you - I thought I was doing you a favor
teaching you how to find the many different possible answers yourself,
but apparently the rudiments of an internet search aren't enough for
you.

Ever hear of a search engine? You type in a few key terms into a
search engine so you don't have to wade through thousands of back-posts
(and much of that "rubbish" consists of posts little if at all
different from your own - funny how newbies consider their own
questions worthy of attention, yet readily dismiss essentially
identical posts by others).

The attitude being to teach you how to find those answers on your own.
Did you ever stop to think that you're dealing with free software - it
comes with no warranty, and AFAIK there's never been a user's manual,
yet the early users have managed to become proficient despite not
having a ready group of proficient users before them to answer their
posts. And let's put aside what you say you found - because if you
really had made the slightest effort to search for the answer, you
would have likely learned the answer or at least learned how to post a
question. You didn't find, because you didn't look. I'm beginning to
think that few newbies really want the answer - they just want the
answer GIVEN to them.

that internet search I suggested? Didn't try it, did you?
