This is the bit which bothers me. If Giganews has a retention of 760
days, then you would expect to see posts 760 days old still on the server.
This would seem to be the case, as you replied to a old post (which has
expired from my server).
Your reply posts are never dated the same as the post replied-to, all
posts should be dated with the date they are posted, and should
propagate with that date.
- It wont resurrect the previous post on servers which have expired it,
and your reply wont have a historical date - as far as I can see,
everything here is as expected.
As I can't see the old post, I don't know who you were replying to.
- However, your quoting could be bad, in that the quote is attributed to
Secret, but the text quoted seems to be *to* Secret.
I can't really be arsed to search googlegroups or other archives to find
out.
