I don't believe in Jesus as a divine being, but I can guarantee that he
would have had less trouble with a little crude language than with people so
morally deficient as to justify theft with a bunch of lame excuses. And why
should I care if I "offend" people who idol worship Jesus? I love and
respect the Star Wars saga, and the theft and disrespect of the movies is
just as offensive to me as it would be to you to suggest that Jesus loved
little boys "a little too much" (nudge nudge wink wink).
The kind people who think it's just fine to buy copies of a stolen movie are
the same types who would have been right alongside the looters in New
Orleans. If you really are a religious person, think about what you are
condoning.
