Before you post here, as a new user, you should probably read some
background info on WinMX. Slyck's guide is a great place to start.

Also, it's impossible to say what's normal without knowing details that
are specific to your set-up, especially your internet connection type.
Generally, primaries are best for users of stable broadband
connections. I've got DSL, but even I get lousy DL rates in primary.
Your internet connection type is more determinative of this issue than
your computer specs (though those aren't utterly irrelevant.)
