Here we go and I am NOT making this up. A trader I know haven't seen for a
while. They got a holt of me again and so I browsed. As his browser was
coming in I got a little disappointed because I saw mp3s showing. Thsi
trader does not trade mp3s. Anyway the list finsihed and I noticed some of
his mp3s were showing yellow like they were in my partials. So I
right-clicked chose manual to see why I had Johnny Noname - Singing the
Blues in Kansas.mp3 in my partials. Well the file it showed that it wanted
to hook up to had NOTHING to do with what my partial was. And the mp3 names
were crazy stuff like I just tried to give an example. Nobody in their
right mind would ever think to d/l such mp3s.
So I started thinking I had a fake. My trader sent me the avipreviewer and
I deleted to the Recycle Bin a number of these. Note many had quite a few
KB d/l. But I looked at one in the previewer that satisfied what I
mentioned above was yellow my file had nothing to do with the mp3 in his
shares and lo and behold. The file was what I expected. Not a mp3 but a
avi.
So I asked the trader, "why are you sharing mp3s?" He said, "believe me I
am not sharing any mp3s." Well I said, "my head was mush and I'm going to
sleep." I couldn't deal with it. I sent all the files back from the
Recycle Bin and decided I better come here to see what might be up? What is
this? I remember years ago many users used to see in their shares ghost
files. But that issue seems no longer to occur.
