Depending on what they're trying to accomplish, it's debateable if the
strategy worked. Apparently there are enough people using pay services
- with all their complications - who would otherwise use P2P. And
they've made more money doing that on some of their latest releases.
They'll probably make more money suing people for DL'g Britney Spears
than they could ever hope to see from a new album.

If they can sue hundreds of users for thousands of dollars, they could
probably make more money suing people for DL'g than trying to sell it
at all. Of course their are legal fees - but how hard can it be to
start these suits?
