I would suggest being very careful about the use of these "patches". their
timing (of appearance) is just a little too convenient for my taste.
I have yet to disassemble any of the patches, but I did do a running test
and found one was trying to connect into a blocked ip space (blocked at my
firewall from any access) owned and operated byone of the RIAA "contract
for hire" companies.
