Win2000 box (all updates in)
Winmx 3.5.3
dll file patch installed.
Was working 2 days ago.
Now crashing with an error as of today 5-Oct-05.
Not connecting.
However, here is a thought. My system is always on and connected. My
service tends to change IP addresses dynamically. Is the program and
patch dependant on your assigned IP address by any chance? If so,
rebooting may fix it. I'll try that to see what happens. I seem to
be seeing some cessation of Limewire downloads that may be related to
this typeof thing.
If so we'll need a patch that can poll your IP periodically.
Otherwise, if I understand, I should be able to take out the DLL patch
and install a hosts file by running the PIEPatch thing?
