Perseus I downloaded the 2.6 PIE patch from here:

Now I have Please be patient!!! in that location that previously had the
white rectangle. I just cannot remember what used to be there prior to this
need for the hosts file. But in any case I'm happier with that.
Traffic this evening seems much better. Normally I get over 100 in my queue
seconds after I go online. Yesterday I never went over 100. Tonight much
better.
I hope I can go back to using WinMX. It was a lot of fun. Sometimes.
