As the download finds sources automatically (AFS) and adds those sources to
the download WinMX redraws the transfer window display. If you're getting a
lot of flickering then maybe look towards your video card being slow at
drawing for some reason (could even be a video card driver issue, or just a
slow computer). If you expand the download by clicking the + symbol you
might be able to confirm the flickering is being caused this way.
Just a wild guess...
