Almost any Sennheiser would fill the bill. They use an "open air"
design, meaning that the exterior side of the earpiece is not sealed,
with the result that the bass sounds more natural, less boomy. I think
they have some models that would fit in your price range.
Of course, the various electrostatic models would also be ideal, but
they are priced rather high (>$200 USD).
