I know this topic has been addressed on the board and I've perused
other posts to rid WinMX of the "Waiting for Incoming Connection"
syndrome. Specifically, I entered the numbers of the "incoming' and
"in/out" ports in my firewall (I've opened them up).
Anyway, more than ever, I'm still getting the above response. But now
there's a new thing -- O'm getting "disconnected" when it looks like I
can connect (just after it says "negotiating"). This is happening with
such frequency that it's hard to believe EVERYONE is disconnecting me.
Also, people can't get anything from me either -- they get stuck on
"Waiting for incoming" no matter what I try.
So my qu is: Is WinMX now dead?
I've downloaded both patches and also tried connecting as both a
primary and secondary user. I've also completely disabled my firewall
as an experiment. Still no dice. Is WinMX being monitored or jammed?
Any info appreciated...
