I found the firewall settings contained on the below links to be 
helpful. I'm now up and running.  Just go to the pages, pick out your 
firewall and set it like they say.  You also need to go into WinMX's 
"settings" and alter the numbers in both the "incoming tcpconnections" 
and "in/out udp packets."  Add the number 1 before each number.
