Do you want to allow others to access your PC? Presumably only those
running WinMX? The rest may be unintentional or they may be malicious,
but as you don't want any of them I suggest you treat them all as bad
news.

If you have a persistent pest, you could trace back and make an abuse
report to the relevant ISP. Sam Spade is useful for this.

Sygate has been bought out by Symantec (Norton) and Sygate firewall has
been discontinued. Kerio has also been bought out but their free personal
firewall will continue to be available.

A better security solution than a personal firewall is a NAT router which
is not expensive.

Most would-be intruders are looking to exploit vulnerabilities in Windows
so it is really important to stay up to date with Microsoft's security
patches.
