Is this a request for assistance? It's too vague to elicit a specific
answer. Downloads that go red and don't start? That could mean
several things - if there are multiple sources for a download, and the
line in the queue for that source is higher than you AFS number, then
that source will red-out - note that you haven't been cancelled, you
can still get in line on that source by hitting "enter queue". That
aside, there are numerous possible (and more importantly surmountable)
reasons to explain your lack of downloads, but they require
specification of your winmx settings, firewall settings, internet
connection type and perhaps the provider (also modem port settings if
you're on a LAN, but I'm on DSL and never had to bother with them) and
composition of your firewall.
If this is a "patch" issue, you may want to check posts on this forum
dating to "cease & desist" - I believe it was late October - and then
specify how you installed the patch.
But most importantly of all - you have to go back and read the posts
that already refer to your problem - you're not the first user to post
"my downloads just red-out" on this NG.
