Today, DVD Verdict posted reviews of HIGH BLOOD ART, I AM THE CHEESE,
LIBERATED ZONE, THE OFF SEASON, PUBLIC ENEMY, SORTED, SORUM, and VAMPIRE
ASSASSINS:
HIGH BLOOD ART (reviewed by Neal Solon, overall score 65/100):
"It falls prey to the same things that it wants to poke fun at in
Curtiss, its main character. It is pretentious storytelling masquerading
as high art."

I AM THE CHEESE (reviewed by Diane Wild, overall score 54/100):
"I Am The Cheese is a loose adaptation of that book, taking liberties
with the ending, so must stand alone as a film. Unfortunately, I had to
stand with it."

LIBERATED ZONE (reviewed by Rob Lineberger, overall score 72/100):
"I'm hard pressed to label Liberated Zone at all. Is it a hard-hitting
look at economic depression? An expose of racism in small-town culture?
A sex farce? A teen melodrama? Liberated Zone is all of those things in
turn, but never exerts itself too strenuously in any given genre."

THE OFF SEASON (reviewed by David Johnson, overall score 68/100):
"The Off Season is a decent-looking, well-shot low-budget psychological
thriller, but man, is it boring. "

PUBLIC ENEMY (reviewed by Eric Profancik, overall score 50/100):
"Public Enemy has imported every horrible Hollywood standard from
cliched characters and situations to bad acting and dialogue. Obviously
dreck can be created in any country."
FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/publicenemy2002.php
SORTED (reviewed by Mitchell Hattaway, overall score 50/100):
"Sorted is slick and flashy, which is about all I can say in its favor,
and I'm not even sure I'm saying that in its favor."
FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/sorted.php
SORUM (reviewed by Mac McEntire, overall score 70/100):
"The supernatural and horror aspects of the film are kind of like Boba
Fett's role in The Empire Strikes Back. He's a lot of fun and you look
forward to his scenes, but the movie's not really about him. So if this
ghost story isn't really about the ghost, just what movie are we
watching?"
FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/sorum.php
VAMPIRE ASSASSINS (reviewed by David Johnson, overall score 45/100):
"Vampire Assassins is disastrous on an Old Testament scale."
