The VMAs were not cool, and they definitely weren't rock n' roll. There's
nothing rock n' roll about showing up in a pretentious yacht and showing off
millions of dollars of jewelry. It's just obnoxious and classless. The
Beatles wouldn't have done it, Zep woudn't have, neither would the Ramones
or Guns n Roses. If MTV doesn't watch it they'll totally alienate the rock
audience.
