what does the laptop say about the mp3 player? I presume it appears as
just another drive? Can you ask from the laptop side how big the flash
player is and how much of it is full?
I was having a problem sort of like this. I'd added a 1 gig sd chip to
my rio sports forge. Finally, I realized that Windows 98SE looked at
the device as if it were 2 devices - one for the internal memory, and
one for the external chip. Perhaps for some reason, the memory in your
player is segmented into two drives?
