MP3Gain vs Alive MP3 WAV Converter? Apples and oranges! Alive MP3 WAV Converter doesn't even normalize, period.
All it does is transcode between MP3, WAV, WMA and Ogg Vorbis formats. Without high quality resampling. Without the full range of options. And it isn't even freeware.
If this software even shipped on CD-ROM, I wouldn't piss on it to put out a fire.
I'll stick with MP3Gain for normalizing, and Foobar2000 for transcoding. (It does a Hell of a lot more than this Alive MP3 WAV Converter piece of crap.)
