Let me clear this up. I clearly said "I did not expect a free
replacement, but I did expect Dell to provide some sort of repair
service but they don't!"
In other words I do not expect Dell to replace the DJ but I do expect
that they'd have some sort of repair service where I mail them the DJ -
a product that they are still selling so the parts should still be
available - and in exchange I receive a bill from Dell for the service
of replacing the broken part. What's so unreasonable about expecting a
service like that? Dell would actually make money from this.
This is a tiny portable device after all, not a large screen
television. Chances are a lot of them will eventually be accidently
damaged.
