Hello, Group.
Just subscribed here as I've found in the past if you have a computer
related question, find a Usenet group that specialises it what you are
looking for and you will get the answer. So I'm sorry if this has been asked
(and answered) before but I did not fancy wading through a few thousand
messages hoping to find what I was looking for. The question is this: is
there some sort of limitation of the number of Mp3 files that can be copied
to a single drive or directory? I have a portable Mp3 player that I like to
take on walks which has a 1 gig. drive which I wanted to fill with my
favourite music, mostly converted from my own Cd and Lp collection but I get
an error message (unable to create file or directory) when the drive is less
than half full. I can work around it by creating a seperate directory on the
player but I would rather just have all my music in one place, going through
all the files in alphabetical order. Before I get a RTFM message, the manual
was written by someone who has the worst grasp of English I've ever seen (it
took about a week to work out how the thing operated, after I'd stopped
laughing). If it is an OS system related problem I am running Xp Pro with
Sp2.
