I was referring to the way the OP had worded his question which made it
sound more like he wanted to use the computer as a multiple CD changer
than he wanted to make any mp3s.

That's a given. You failed to warn me about some of the things involved
with all this aging process. Surely, as the leader in our shaky march
into dotage, this is your responsibility?
Possibly you warned me about this part I forgot about it.
