Use:
www.dbpoweramp.com (free)
RIp to FLAC(perfect lossless copy) with the appropriate plugin (free).
Transcode to whatever format/bitrate you want, whenever you want.
I store all my CDs this way on a large external USB2 disk; once I've
ripped a CD, its never used again.
