Get used to the New World Order of Right Wing fundementalist quashing
of personal liberties, individual rights, due process, right to court
appeal, and blatant disregard for separation of Church and State. If
anyone voted for Bush then they deserve their loss of Amendment rights
and Civil liberties.
As of now the FBI can confiscate your personal, and intellectual
property without a warrant, and without any court appeal under the
Patriot Act under the guise of Terrorism. What a joke. This has
already been abused time and again to arrest suspected business owner's
of tax evasion and/or money laundering who had nothing, whatsoever, to
do with terrorist activity.
"Attempting to infringe...." will inevitably be classified under a
vague conspiracy clause giving the authorities "a priori" access to
your computer, credit card accounts, bank accounts, ISP.... and on and
on....without a court order and without Due Process.
Here's some more conspiracy theory to mull over. Is it possible that
our government is in bed with Microsoft to use a backdoor in Windows OS
to access our computers anytime they feel there's an "attempt to
infringe" or an attempt to conspire or hide assets? Will a firewall
or encryption even work? You can bet your ass that they can probably
already access any harddrive anytime they damn well please.
