Get used to the "New World Order" of Right Wing Fundamentalist quashing
of personal liberties, individual rights, due process, right to court
appeal, and blatant disregard for separation of Church and State. If
anyone voted for Bush they deserve their loss of Amendment rights
and Civil liberties.
As of now the FBI can confiscate your personal, and intellectual
property without a warrant, and without any possibility of court appeal
under the
Patriot Act under the guise of Terrorism. What a joke. This has
already been abused time and again to arrest suspected business owners
of tax evasion and/or money laundering who had nothing, whatsoever, to
do with terrorist activity. The proposed revisions to the PA are only
a transparent "window dressing" veneer.
"Attempting to infringe.." will inevitably be classified under a
vague conspiracy clause giving the authorities "a priori" access to
your computer, credit card accounts, bank accounts, ISP.... and on and
on....without a court order and without appeal.
Here's some more conspiracy theory to mull over. Is it possible that
our government is in bed with Microsoft and has been given backdoor
access to Windows OS anytime they feel there's an "attempt to infringe"
or an attempt to conspire or hide assets? Will a firewall or
encryption prevent access to your computer? You can bet your ass that
they can probably already access your hard drive anytime they damn well
please.
