If your CD Writer is an old model, it may not support 700MB discs. You would
have to use 650MB discs in this case. I had a Philips writer that did not
support 700MB discs & it also used Easy CD Creator. It would reject the
discs just as you say yours does. It seemed crazy, as you would think it
would write up to a 650MB limit on a 700MB disc, but no, it would spit them
out & tell you to insert a blank. I can only assume that the writing modes
are different, so it would not accept 700MB. Philips never had a firmware
update to enable larger capacity discs for the drive.
