As the poster below correctly stated, you'll only get 74 minutes when
you burn your CD's as audio CD's, AKA CD-A format recognized by
portable players since the 1980's. You can save your music by burning
your CD's as data-CD's containing MP3 files, but they'll only play on
portable players that specifically play MP3's. Such players tend to
cost more than traditional players, but not by much - and the price
will likely continue to drop to complete with an unsatiable public
demand for more expensive players like iPod. Otherwise, such players
are not physically different from traditional players - having the same
size and weightt.
