Every DVD-Video with CSS has an individual key, so I don't see why they
wouldn't do the same thing here.

I said that, and also noted that it's not very convenient. CSS has had
the master keys discovered, so it's easy to determine a disc key, because
every DVD-ROM drive in the world has the algorithm to do it...all you have
to do is feed the master key to the drive and you can play *and* CSS-
encrypted disc.

With a well-designed public key system, there are no weaknesses like this.
The only way to get the key will be to ask the master server. Sure, once
you get it, you can play that disc on any player, but *only* that disc.
And, if the system uses a combination of hardware player ID to generate
keys, then you become limited to only that player/disc combination.
