Apples and Oranges. Or perhaps an intentional straw-man. The original
statement was more parallel to "I've lived without pain my entire
life"....which certainly does imply a lack of experiencing pain.

entire life" ...which most certainly does imply never experiencing
either.

Have you peeked back to the original wording and context of her use of
the phrase? Perhaps you should. Here:

I've lived without Microsoft Windows my entire life.
It looks to me as if the poster she responded to was conceding that there
were times when each OS might be more useful to a person. He was also
stating that "living without" something, as in *never* using it, was
impractical. To this she replied she had indeed lived without it...for
her *entire* life.
Not her life at home.
Not her non-working days.
Not her time off.
Not her time on-line.
No, in fact her *entire* life.
The very fact that Michelle has backpedaled from her original statement
of living without it for her entire life, not just part of her life but
her *entire* life (you might look that one word up) and now says she has
used it for some work projects seems to add more veracity to the original
statement that "living without Windows just isn't practical".
You can feel free to back down from this point at any time and I'm sure
nobody will feel any less respect for you, consider you less of a dork,
nor will they consider you any less of a manipulative individual.
