Hi David

When you store tracks on a MP3 player they are usually stored as files
within folders. Usual practice seems to be to store albums as folders
within a folder for the artist.

Normally a playlist is a facility to store a list of tracks with their
folder details as a text file, and the player will play tracks (regardless
of where they are stored) in the order specified.

If you had the same song in two or more playlists the track would only be
stored once, which means saves space (and also makes it quicker to setup).

However, as you say, neither of the Creative flash players support
playlists.

The Zen Nano is a more recent version of a line of Creative players with FM
radios, there was an intermediary version called the N200 that had some
problems with the backlight causing interference. I'm not 100% certain, but
I think the TX has a usb plug so you can plug it straight into a PC, but the
Zen Nano comes with a mini usb socket and needs a flying lead to connect to
the PC - it makes it slightly smaller, but may not be so convenient.

I have the N200, and my daughter has the Zen Nano - both very compact
machines and very impressive performance.
