I have no idea. Try opening the WinXP help, go to the "index" tab and
type in "record" sans quotes.
Win98 has a built in recorder but unless one has an MP3 codec installed
for use by the Windows Compression Manager (most do, albeit a poor one)
it will only save as *.wav. Moreover, it is limited to 60 seconds of
recording. Both can be fixed but are beyond your current expertise.
