It was originally a Prassi program, distributed by various under
numerous names including CDExtreme, RecordNow, MyCD, PrimoCD, Click;N
Burn et al. The various distributors may have/did change minor things
in the GUI but they are all basically the same program.
While it won't necessarily work with all drives, the brand of drive
didn't enter in AFAIK; for example, I used to use Sony CDExtreme with a
TEAC drive. The Prassi site has an old update together with a link to a
list of supported drives.
