All (or most) of the ISP's are doing these free upgrades. I'm with
Pipex and was supposed to be getting afree upgrade from 512kb to 1mb
but unfortunately I'm too far away from the exchange so I can't get it.
Moving to another ISP won't make any difference so unless I go
satellite, or cable, or move house I'm stuck with 512.
Which, to be honest is a lot better than the 9600baud modem I started
out with back in compuserve days!
