Rubbish. Yes I knew it was coming, as did you and many others who read
the appropriate forums and websites, but since when is that "everyone"?
I doubt most of the DVD buying public have any idea about alternate
releases, until the promotions begin or the product appears on the
shelves.
My point was not to get at Martin, but simply to express irritation with
this ever increasing trend of a DVD release merely being the taster for
the next months enhanced version. It's one thing to update an old
release, but when it's so obvious that the "original" and the "new" are
part of the same business strategy, it does become rather offensive.
