hear hear, Nev. I've been a keen watcher of test cricket since I first
heard that cowbell on BBC2 in the 70's! I've been there in the painful
years when you could still get seats for any ground at any stage of a match.
I'm in two minds about the current frenzy - yes, it's great that we're
winning, yes it's great that my kids are out there playing with their mates
but I do feel a little 'hijacked' by the "new" fans.
I've got a mate in Brisbane who's married to an Aussie - he's having a great
time atm, first the rugby, then the cricket - next we'll learn to swim and
beat them at that too!!
Fantastic series, played in a fantastic spirit - so good to see professional
sportsmen on oposing sides respecting, appreciating and congratulating each
other.
