A helpful person on there e-mailed me the file needed to hack the
firmware but.....

......tried it a few times, burned file to cd-r but when I put it in the
player I don't get the menu on screen asking me to apply the new
firmware. The player does recognise the data disc and the display on the
player reads FILE.

Any ideas folks?

(Have also posted this question on that forum but worth a try in here as
well innit!)
