I was belatedly converted to this view. Both were/are basically rather
poor without the other to knock their ideas into shape. John and Yoko,
Paul and the Frog Chorus. 'Nuff said.
Ronnie Barker, however, was undoubtedly the greater creative genius out of
the two Ronnies (by a long shot, though that's not to deny Corbett's
contribution to their partnership). Barker wrote Porridge, Corbett starred
in Sorry. 'Nuff said.
It's very sad to see him go, but what a legacy he leaves behind.
