Hi,
I've checked in twice a day since day 1. i was lurking over at
alt.video.dvd and saw the announcement of this group. back then the R2
launch was constantly being delayed and I remember being told in
Virgin Manchester that they'd never stock dvd's as they'd not much
call for Laserdiscs. there was still a debate over mpg audio or Dolby
and the rumoured launch discs were Jumanji, Mars Attacks and
Riverdance. bought my first Pioneer when the price was slashed to £450
and had the mods to make it region free and remove macrovision done. I
rushed back to work and ordered a stash from Reel.com. i still have my
DVDExpress T shirt . it's nice to see some of the older nicks
reappearing
